Why do we need volunteers?
We rely on volunteers to run everything in the Group, without them we would have no Leaders, no committee and our facilities would slowly crumble into the ground. The only way we can continue to run a successful Group and continue to offer exciting activities to the young people in the community is by people like you, giving up some of their time to help us out.
What can you get out of it?
It is not all about give give give, we hope that every volunteer gets something back from the time they give to the Group. Whether it is simply a sense of achievement, feeling good about giving something back to the community or developing your own skills and improving your CV, everyone can get something back by becoming a volunteer.
How can you help?
No matter what time you can offer, from an hour a term to a couple of hours a week, we are always grateful for any help and we will find you something to do that fits with what you are willing to give. From fetes to bag packing and running meetings there are hundreds of jobs you can help us with.
If after reading this you are still not sure if you can help then take a look at our how you can help page, where you will find more detailed descriptions on the different roles and what they may involve, or take a look at the video below. If you are still not sure what you can offer, but want to help, then why not get in touch and we can help find something to suit?

How can you get involved?
Decided that you want to become a volunteer and help us out? Scroll down to our volunteer form, where you can give us some more details and we can get you involved!
All of our volunteers have to undertake a Disclosure Baring Service check or DBS before they can get actively involved in supporting the Group. This is to ensure the safety and protection of the young people that we look after. This is a simple process, all you have to do is fill in a form and we do the rest. Unfortunately due to the various levels of checks we cannot normally accept a DBS from any other organisation.
