What is it all about?
Beavers are our second youngest members. They enjoy all that Scouting has to offer; from outdoor activities, to crafts, exploring the local community and experiencing the excitement of a Sleepover with their friends.
The Beaver Colony is the second oldest section of the Scout Group. Young people can join Beaver Scouts between 6 and 8 years old.
Activities for Beavers
Beaver Scouts get a chance to try a wide range of different activities as well as going on trips, days out, and on sleepovers. We believe in learning through doing in an inclusive atmosphere, we therefore focus on participation, rather than meeting set standards.
Badges
There are a range of badges and challenge awards that Beaver Scouts can gain to recognise their achievements. From Animal carer to Space our activity badges get them, exploring the world around them, taking responsibility and learning new skills. Whatever their interest there is sure to be a badge to capture their imagination.
Further information about badges and awards for the Beaver section can be found here.
Meetings
We currently have 2 Beaver Sections run by our amazing volunteers. Both offer the fun and adventure of Scouting in a safe and friendly environment.
Apollo meet on a Wednesday and Zeus meet on a Friday evening.
