FACILITIES

We are lucky enough to have our own Building located within walking distance of the town centre and on the edge of the Beacon Nature reserve. The Beacon makes a valuable break out space and is often used for games and activities when the weather suits. As well as the Beacon we have a large camping field and a smaller area behind the adjacent Guide Hut with campfire circle.

If you are not sure where we are located, a location map can be found here.

Building

The building itself is used mainly for our meetings, but is also used from time to time by other organisations and is great for larger groups or sleepovers. It is made up of a large hall, approximately 16m by 8m, with a number of smaller rooms off of it. There is a large kitchen, with a commercial 6 ring gas cooker and oven, fridge and microwave.

If you are interested in hiring the building or finding out more, please get in touch using our booking form

Camping

We have a large camping field, located adjacent to the main building and covering around 2 acres in total. This would be a suitable size for Group or District Camps, with good access to local attractions and facilities.  There is plenty to do locally, for a weekend camp or a longer stay.

In addition to this we also have a smaller grassed area, that can be used for camping by smaller groups.

If you are thinking about staying with us you may find this Local Map produced on Google maps by the Group useful. It gives details of some local facilities, such as supermarkets, banks, petrol stations, take aways, doctors surgeries, etc.

Unfortunately we currently have no permanent facilities associated with these camping spaces, however during high session should demand require it we look to install portable facilities. Bigger groups are welcome to bring their own facilities and there is easy access to waste disposal points. For smaller Groups we may be able to make the facilities in the main building available for use, this is of course dependent on the availability of the building.

The smaller grassed area, behind the Guide Hut has a simple campfire circle.

Surrounding Area
